Questions, trouble, or an idea? Email dk@derek.kim. One person makes Ambly, so replies usually take a day or two.
Getting started
- Allow Apple Health when asked, so your steps and workouts can reach your creature. You can change this later in the Health app.
- Pick one of three eggs. The egg decides the family; colour, build and name are a surprise.
- Your first egg hatches after one finished workout. Later eggs take 20,000 steps and at least two days.
Common questions
My steps aren't reaching my creature
Open the Health app → Sharing → Apps and Services → Ambly, and check that Steps and Workouts are on. Ambly reads Health about once an hour in the background, and always when you open it. The step number on a widget can tick ahead of the growth bar beside it; that is on purpose, because only Health's own totals count toward growth.
My creature hasn't grown
Growth comes from walking, running, cycling, swimming and gym sessions. A quiet stretch only pauses it — your creature never gets sick, never dies, and never loses what it grew.
I got a new phone
Your creatures, eggs, names and achievements come back from your own iCloud once you sign in and open Ambly. Your step and workout history stays on the device, so Ambly rebuilds it from Apple Health; give it a minute on Wi‑Fi.
What can I buy?
Ambly is free, and the first egg always is. Two optional one-time purchases: Rehatch gives your creature a new look while keeping its name, level, steps and history, and you see the new look before you pay. New egg starts another creature; the one you have keeps everything it grew and stays in your collection.
I have a code
Open Ambly → Settings → Redeem a code, or redeem it in the App Store. It covers your next rehatch or new egg.
Refunds
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too: reportaproblem.apple.com.
Turning notifications off
Ambly → Settings → Notifications, or iPhone Settings → Ambly. Ambly only tells you when an egg is ready, or when your creature has been napping a while.
Deleting everything
Delete the app to remove what is stored on the device. To remove the rest, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Ambly and delete its data.
Privacy
Health and motion data never leave your device except to your own iCloud, and are never used for advertising. Full detail: Privacy Policy.

시작하기
- 걸음 수와 운동 기록이 창조물에게 닿도록 Apple 건강 접근을 허용해 주세요. 나중에 건강 앱에서 바꿀 수 있어요.
- 세 개의 알 중 하나를 골라요. 알이 계열을 정하고, 색과 체형, 이름은 부화할 때의 즐거움이에요.
- 첫 알은 운동 한 번을 마치면 부화해요. 이후의 알은 20,000걸음과 최소 이틀이 필요해요.
자주 묻는 질문
걸음 수가 반영되지 않아요
건강 앱 → 공유 → 앱 및 서비스 → Ambly에서 걸음 수와 운동이 켜져 있는지 확인해 주세요. Ambly는 백그라운드에서 한 시간에 한 번쯤, 그리고 앱을 열 때마다 건강 데이터를 읽어요. 위젯의 걸음 숫자가 옆의 성장 막대보다 앞서갈 수 있는데, 성장에는 건강 앱의 합계만 반영하기 때문이에요.
창조물이 자라지 않아요
걷기, 달리기, 자전거, 수영, 헬스장 운동이 성장에 반영돼요. 조용한 기간에는 성장이 잠시 멈출 뿐, 창조물은 아프거나 사라지지 않고 자란 것을 잃지도 않아요.
새 기기로 바꿨어요
창조물, 알, 이름, 업적은 본인의 iCloud에서 돌아와요. 걸음·운동 기록은 기기에만 저장되므로 Apple 건강 데이터로 다시 만들어요. Wi‑Fi에서 잠시 기다려 주세요.
무엇을 구매할 수 있나요?
Ambly는 무료이고 첫 알도 언제나 무료예요. 선택형 일회성 구매가 두 가지 있어요. 다시 부화하기는 이름, 레벨, 걸음 수, 기록을 그대로 둔 채 모습만 바꾸며, 결제 전에 새로운 모습을 먼저 확인할 수 있어요. 새 알은 새 창조물을 시작해요. 지금의 창조물은 자란 모든 것을 간직한 채 컬렉션에 남아요.
코드가 있어요
Ambly → 설정 → 코드 사용하기에서, 또는 App Store에서 사용할 수 있어요. 다음 다시 부화하기나 새 알에 적용돼요.
환불
결제는 Apple을 통해 이루어지므로 환불도 Apple에서 진행해요: reportaproblem.apple.com.
알림 끄기
Ambly → 설정 → 알림, 또는 iPhone 설정 → Ambly에서 끌 수 있어요. 알림은 알이 준비됐을 때와 창조물이 한동안 낮잠을 잤을 때만 보내요.
모두 삭제하기
앱을 삭제하면 기기에 저장된 정보가 지워져요. 나머지는 설정 → [이름] → iCloud → 계정 저장 공간 관리 → Ambly에서 데이터를 삭제하세요.
개인정보
건강·동작 정보는 본인의 iCloud 외에는 기기를 떠나지 않으며, 광고에 사용되지 않아요. 자세한 내용: 개인정보 처리방침.
